Snow Day!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Sorry for the late post today friends, but it's a SNOW DAY!! An office closed, silent white city, gloriously sweatpants wearing snow day! After my 6am email check to confirm I wouldn't have to trek in the snow to work, I slept in a bit and have been in a cleaning, organizing, laundry-ing frenzy. A "home work" day was just what I needed to get life in order. Here to take you into the weekend are some cozy and tasty treats and eats. Stay warm:)

I'm a big fan of the "one-pot" recipes that seem to be trending right now because they're usually real easy to execute and produce tasty, cozy final products. This "One Pot Mexican Skillet Pasta" from Damn Delicious is made of basic ingredients and can be made healthier (if you're feelin healthy:) by subbing in whole wheat pasta and reduced fat shredded cheese (I like Kraft's reduced fat products). Pin it HERE, full recipe HERE.

Want to blow away your roommate/hubby/family/lovah tomorrow morning?! How about whipping up this tasty crustless quiche for breakfast? Loaded with spinach and mushrooms for health and cheese for... well cheese's sake, this quiche from Budget Bites is easy, inexpensive and yummy! Pin it HERE, full recipe HERE.

This recipe had me at "Boozy Skinny Hot Chocolate". With an almond milk base and amaretto kicker, this is the perfect way to snuggle up on a snow day and get down with the season. Pin it HERE, full recipe HERE.
