Hump Day Distractions

Happy Allergy Season!
And then it was springtime and Merry Meri awoke, so puffy and stuffy from her allergies that she almost resented the beautiful blooming flowers... almost:) Anybody else suddenly TOTALLY socked in the face by seasonal allergies this week!? While I invest in a lifetime supply of Zyrtec and debate life in a bubble, here are some delightful distractions from around the web. Enjoy!

* I'm either ridiculously on trend or ridiculously typical. I prefer to think the former.
* Shut up with this beautiful/adorable/royal perfection. (those cheeks, I can't even!!)
* This kid is the man.
* I hate myself for desperately wanting to eat THIS. It looks So. Damn. Good.
* And obviously I'll be having some Wonuts for dessert (#FatKidForLife)
* "Condom truck tips, spills load"... and other brilliantly cringe worthy headlines!
* I absolutely love THIS story. Totally worth five minutes of your time. (via exPress-o)
* Brooklyn is in bloom!! Track the cherry blossoms HERE.
* I still love Queen Bey, but THIS made me un-follow her Instagram account.
* I could stare at pictures of this adorable duo all. day. long.
* This is in fact that cutest party ever.

Whomp whoooomp.

That little guy on the right? That's me.
So remember last week when I was all "huzzah! spring is here!! Buy some new converse, smell the flowers, soak in the sun" rejoice-y!? Well this morning when the thermometer said 21 degrees and I had to take my sad and quasi-frozen pansies and tulips off the terrace, all that joy slipped away faster than you can say "where's my puffy jacket?" And with tomorrow's forecast of  snow seeming more and more plausible, I'm about ready to cry me some wimpy, "I just want to wear my pastels" tears. Sadsies.

Since I'm feeling lazy, unmotivated and generally annoyed at the universe for sending us this relentless and endless winter, I thought I'd share some pictures of adorable animals today. Because nothing turns my day around like procrastinating on the internet, staring at cute little critters.

It's gonna be alright bud.
I'm pawsitive this will cheer you up!
Wake me when it's over.
Here to help make the cold more bear-able
All ears if you need to complain about the cold!

Is it over yet!?

word.
Even though this week went by relatively quickly, I am so ready for the weekend. So. Ready. So let's all check out these goodies meant to entertain, amuse, feed and inform, then power down our computers and get the hell outta here! Have a great weekend :)

watch out for the yellow ones Buddy!
So I think it's a bit early to be pushing Christmas (though Radio City Music Hall obviously disagrees, their tree has been up for 2 weeks now!) but when I stumbled upon THIS list of secrets from my most favorite Christmas movie Elf, I simply had to share.

awwww
Those are some pretty darn cute rats. (<-- and that is something I never imagined I would say.)

Those are pictures of the Lower East Side of Manhattan... YESTERDAY!!! Apparently Steven Soderbergh is filming a Cinemax miniseries called The Knick right now and transformed Broome and Orchard streets to look like something straight out of the early 1900s. Can you imagine accidentally stumbling upon that while out and about? What a mind trip! So freaking cool.
I like it.

And lastly, because it's Friday and someone has to bring the sweet treat to the tailgate...
"Feed Your Football Face" Recipe of the Week: Sprinkle Nutella Rolls*

Ok, so these guys look epic-bananas levels of delicious and I was thrilled to discover that they are epic-bananas levels of easy to make:
Ingredients
1 package crescent rolls (Pillsbury)
1/2 cup Nutella spread
sprinkles

Instructions
Unroll the crescent rolls and press together the seams. Spread with Nutella. Make sure to not go all the way to the edge. Top with sprinkles. Gently roll up. Cut into 9 even slices. Place in a glass baking dish with room around each one.
