Spring has (finally) sprung!

Bleecker Street Blossoms
Well would you look at that... All we needed was a few, consecutive, warm sunny days and voila! my city is in bloom. I couldn't help but smile seeing just how lush and colorful everything was this morning. Washington Square Park is exploding at the canopy with green leaves and vibrant pink and white blossoms. And don't even get me started on the tulips 'round here lately. These tulips mean biz-nazz.

West Village reaching for the sun

And something about spring is particularly inspiring. I find it's easier to see the bright side, think optimistically about what lies ahead and feel good about things in general when the sun is shining warmly...

Feeling joyful
In celebration of spring (and because I need something to distract me from the fact that my seasonal allergies are now also in full bloom) here are:

* A colorful craft for displaying your spring blossoms
* The most delicious salad recipe (avocado lovers inquire within:)
* A fruity spring dessert whose presentation will wow the masses

Hump Day Distractions

FINALLY!!! Isn't this just the spring-licious week we've all been desperate for!? NYC has been almost hot these past few days and the warm sunshine seems to be putting smiles on everyone's faces. It's glorious... Almost as glorious as knowing that we just need to survive another 2.5 days until the weekend. Hop on over the hump with these distractions and I'll see you on the other side :)

* A touching and amusing story about parental love from Dax Sheppard (including a heartwarming photo of his sexy baby mama Kristen Bell)
* Like something out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie... It's gonna be so GROSS.
* Hope in bloom (via NYC Taught Me)
Spinach and Goat Cheese Hash Brown Nests. I pinned it and it's been re-pinned a buttload. I guess peeps just love their goat cheese and fried potatoes! (full recipe HERE)
* I'm torn between thinking THIS is absolutely hysterical and completely cruel. Good luck when he's a teenager Dad.
* So true.
* If you watch Mad Men, you must read this review (warning: complete spoiler of Sunday's episode)
* There's something incredibly beautiful about THIS.
* The only problem is deciding which one to order first... AMAZEBALLS. (via YAMF)
* The plan is to marry him, divorce him, take the house. Don't really see any other way to make THIS mine.
* Incredibly creepy in a completely hysterical way (who does this stuff!?)
* Photobomb legends.
