I hope you have a good Friday (& 4 glasses of wine at dinner!)

It is time...
Happy Good Friday/last few hours before Passover gets started! I kicked off my day with a tasty 'ol breakfast sandwich because lord knows going a week without my beloved carbohydrates is worthy of a bagel-tastic sendoff. Here to send us all on to the weekend are some holiday themed crafts, creations and goodies from around the web. Wishing you all happy holidays and wonderful weekends!

Passover desserts are seriously crumby (literally and figuratively!) but this inspired idea from Mommy Shorts to set up a Matzoh Dessert Toppings Bar looks almost tasty enough to make me forget I'm eating matzoh:)

Would it be weird if I made these for my family's seder?! Are they not the prettiest Easter Eggs your ever did see!? For a full tutorial on these pressed flower eggs and also ombre glitter eggs(!!) from Lauren Conrad, click HERE.

Just in time for your Easter Sunday Brunch, here are 12 Easy Egg Recipes from SMP.

Cricket, Cricket (the sound of silence).

I'd love to...
I don't know what I feel like blogging about today. It's one of those rare moments when surely I have something to say, but actually, I don't really have anything to say at all. My brain is all mushed up with inconsequential things like...
- I have a banana, but what I really want is an everything bagel with a mountain of cream cheese and lox on it.
- I wonder if the trendy one-piece bathing suit I ordered is going to look cute or terrible
- I should go home, put on sweatpants and watch a marathon of "House of Cards" followed by "Roman Holiday" (which just became available on Netflix!) staring my icon crush Ms. Audrey Hepburn
- Maybe I should go get an iced coffee?
- Thanks Mom for providing this EXCELLENT distraction/writing assignment (because clearly I'm that geek reader who actually typed up and emailed a full response to his inquiry)

Like I said, it's a real mush in there today... THIS pretty much sums it up. Also, does anyone want to come over and make these with me sometime soon?

I'm off to find something to satisfy the beast in my belly. We'll try this whole creative blog post thing again tomorrow.

The Power of an Awesome Breakfast!

Every day should start with a deli sausage, egg and cheese on a toasted roll. Or maybe those days could alternate with cream cheese and lox on an everything bagel? Wouldn’t that be awesome? I am amazed by the power of a yummy breakfast. To be clear, I do not mean “power” as in power to get me through the day thanks to a healthy, balanced meal (clearly. I started this post with “sausage” and “cheese”). I mean power as in “this delicious bundle in tin foil is actually going to improve my mood!!”

My usual breakfast is a yogurt, but every so often I indulge in a breakfast MEAL instead of breakfast fuel and my smile as I chow in my cubicle amuses me every time. Breaking from my routine, having something I know is less healthy, BUYING breakfast... it all gives me some simple joy. And don’t pretend like you can make an egg sandwich as awesome as the one from my bodega. You can’t. It’s like writing the price in permanent marker on the wrapper of my sandwich gives it special power to satisfy. So I say treat yourself this morning to a break from boring breakfast. Your [toast and egg whites/yogurt/cold cereal] will be waiting for you again tomorrow.
